Residency at Declaration Church seeks to develop Residents spiritually and professionally while growing their leadership abilities through training and experience. Declaration Residents serve the body of Christ using their particular gifting as they further discover how God has equipped them for ministry and how He will deploy them into future Gospel advancing assignments in Bryan/College Station and beyond. Residents are full-responsibility staff members of the church who support raise their salaries for the 12 month program.
RESIDENT OPPORTUNITIES
ADMIN
The Admin Resident will get to work with our administration staff to assist in administration of the church as a whole, human resources, and event coordinating. The admin resident will also be responsible for helping lead our office support volunteers.
COLLEGE
The College Resident will get to serve Declaration's college ministry by helping lead the college leader team, investing in and discipling college students, and fulfilling college administrative duties.
CREATIVE
The Creative Resident will get to work with our Communications and Worship/Production staff to produce a wide range of digital content. This range of content can include photography for special events, designing printed literature, producing our online service, and shooting/editing videos for our sermon series. In addition, the Creative Resident will be responsible for leading and coordinating creative volunteers such as additional photographers or graphic designers.
KIDS
The DC Kids Resident will partner with the DC Kids Director in planning & preparing for weekly DC Kids services for children, birth through fourth grade. They will also help plan and execute our annual Sports Camp outreach event. This role will give you experience in administrative tasks, leadership, Bible teaching, and volunteer appreciation.
NATIONS
The Nations Resident will assist with coordinating and continuing to build our international outreach ministry. Some responsibilities include advising those who desire to GO, leading multiply groups, facilitating bible studies, and planning prayer nights. In addition, the Nations Resident will be working to meet the needs of & communicating with our missionaries on a regular basis. There will also be an aspect of training in different areas, such as sending, mobilization, evangelism, & discipleship for the glory of God among every tongue, tribe & nation.
NEIGHBORS
The Neighbors Resident will help coordinate and continue to build our local outreach ministry. Residents will be involved in communication with local organizational partners, facilitating service projects, and walking with members of our community who have extensive physical needs, as well as discipling volunteers who serve in our Neighbors ministry.
YOUTH
The role of a Declaration Youth Resident is a full-time leadership position in the DC Youth Ministry. He or she will partner with the Youth Director in leading and shepherding leaders, parents, volunteers, and students to love Jesus and to acknowledge him as King of Kings. To accomplish this goal, he or she will work with the Youth Director to coordinate and execute Youth worship services that are excellent, theologically consistent, and appropriately contextualized for the middle school and high school students with whom we are engaging while also being fun and creative.
WORSHIP
The Worship Residency is a one-year program that provides an environment for future Worship leaders with a distinct calling to ministry to grow in character and competency while experiencing hands-on ministry. Worship Residence will have training that equips them with the theology, leadership, craft and character it takes to lead the church today. Residents will assist in continuing to build-up the Worship Ministry culture and will envision, Plan and execute Sunday services, Worship Nights, and other ministry events. In addition, they will learn the basic technical knowledge needed today to thrive in a ministry where technology is utilized more and more every day.
